What is the Aggie UX Theme?
The Aggie UX theme at Texas A&M University represents a major step toward creating a unified, accessible web experience across all university sites. Designed with WCAG 2.1 AA compliance in mind, the theme introduces standardized components, responsive layouts, and built-in support for essential tools like analytics and SEO, ensuring that content is easy to navigate and interact with on any device—from desktops to mobile phones. By replacing inconsistent designs and eliminating reliance on third-party plugins that often fail accessibility standards, Aggie UX not only enhances usability but also strengthens security and brand alignment. This initiative reflects Texas A&M’s commitment to inclusivity, making its digital presence more intuitive and equitable for all users.
